"One good thing about music, when it hits you feel no pain."

Robert Nesta Bob Marley 2/6/45 - 5/11/81

One of the most thought provoking statements ever made by one of the most prolific beings to ever walk planet earth! If I honor anyone it will always be Bob Marley as he is an integral part of my musical life. I consider him to be a mentor to me in spirit and with my music in various ways. The messages of love, living and understanding have resonated with me ever since I heard the first song by him as a child. There was meaning and a method to his genius as per getting his point across in a global fashion.

It has been more than 30 years since the untimely demise aka death of a legend. I won't share my somewhat conspiratorial view on the death of Bob Marley because that isn't what this is about. I want to recognize, respect, uplift the name of a warrior God that has actually lived among us and so graciously given us a wealth of knowledge, love & tolerance via the teachings buried within his music/lyrics.

Here are a few of my personal favorite video footage of Bob Marley. Artists should take notes from this man in regards to what a live performance should look and feel like! He was the master at harnessing his energy and allowing the world to feed off of it. Anyone that truly knows me understands the importance of this man to me.

Bob Marley is a true hero in my book. How many folk do you know that are shot at, wounded and still get up that same night and perform the best show of his life!!! Get your shit together artists, the world is missing out on your genuine divine potential!!

Thanks mwatson89! Now, I stylized this low quality video. Changed colors to red striped, improved the distorted audio best I could. Sorry, all of the zooming in and out is part of the original footage. chrisgraydeep.com
